”Nicolae Testemitanu” University Senate members’ first meeting of 2025

On January 23, 2025, a Senate meeting took place at  ”Nicolae Testemitanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy  that started with the awarding of the diploma of Habilitated Doctor of Medical Sciences to Larisa Rotaru, Associate Professor at the Discipline of Rheumatology and Nephrology, Department of Internal Medicine by University Rector, Professor Emil Ceban.  

At the same time, the President of the Senate also handed over two certificates conferring the scientific-didactic title of Associate Professor to Tatiana Porosencova, Department of Dental Propaedeutics, and Ludmila Sidorenco from the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics, documents recently confirmed by the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research. 

Senators heard and approved several issues, including:

- Results of the graduation exam of the integrated higher education program in Medicine (with training in English, spring admission);

- Report on the results of the activity of the Continuing Medical Education Department in 2024;

- Report on the completion of the Public Relations Policy Implementation Program for 2024;

- Approval of the updated version of the Regulations regarding the activity of the faculties of: Medicine No. 1, Medicine No. 2, Pharmacy, Stomatology, and Residency;

- Approval of the Methodology regarding the conferral of scientific and didactic titles at  Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (new edition) and of the Regulation on the conferral of scientific and didactic titles;

- The establishment of profile evaluation committees for the review and evaluation of the files of candidates applying for the scientific-didactic title of University Professor/Associate Professor;

- Approval of the Methodology regarding the recognition and equivalence of scientific and didactic titles in higher education obtained abroad;

 - Approval of the Regulation on the organization and functioning of the Continuing Medical Education Department;

- Approval of annual reports on the implementation of research sub-programs under the institutional research program;

- Approval of the organizational and functional structure of the National Institute for Health and Medical Research of ”Nicolae Testemitanu” University.
